Probably takes forever and a day to get enough points for anything forthwhile, plus I'm guessing that it's for AMD users only.
But I guess you might as well get something for spending time on games you like.

Well If I supstract the points I already got for signing up and all that stuff I only need 34 days of playing 6 hours (max number each day)..
And I'm pretty sure you don't really need to play the game, just having the "planetside2.exe" running

edit: I just made it bug out by some "suspend" planetside2.exe into windows crash testing and now it doesn't stop showing [strike]and counting that I'm playing planetside 2 I just went to sleep for 7 hours and guess what, according to raprt I'm still playing planetside 2

AMD Rewards: Details on Reward Points and new ways to earn Posted in AMD

We've updated the Reward Store to give you a preview of the items and prices that will be available at launch. You can check it out now by opening up your Gaming Evolved App and going to the Store tab.


As we’re inching closer to the launch of the Rewards Store, you will notice a few changes when it comes to Reward Points coming within the next week, specifically how they’re earned and how many you’ve earned. As we mentioned before in our Rewards Store update post, we learned a lot about how our RP economy works in real-time and we’re making a few adjustments to members’ RP totals across the board.

For a limited time we’re also tripling the (new) rate at which you earn points for gameplay time! More details on that below.

RP Adjustments
In the next few days you will probably notice that your points total has changed; don’t worry, you and every other user have had an adjustment equally. We’re updating the value of some actions, recalculated the differences, and updating the RP in your account. Again, this will be done automatically for all users. Going forward, the new points values will be set, and you will be able to see them via the How to Earn Points section in the AMD Gaming Evolved app.

Some examples: You will get more RP for signing up (was 300 RP, now 500 RP) and less for optimizing a game (down from 60 RP per game to 20 RP per game) -- now that we have about 70 games and growing, we foresee lots of optimization!

We carefully considered other ways to go about this adjustment without “taking away points,” however we didn’t want to make items in the store cost a lot more by inflating redemption amounts unnecessarily.

With that said though, we are planning to discount items in the beginning so you’ll have a chance to earn them faster than usual.

Points Earned Through Gameplay
Previously you earned 1 point per minute up to 6 hours for a max of 360 RP in a 24-hour period. We’re scaling that back a bit and changing how you earn gameplay RP in two ways. To begin with, your first game session of the day will automatically earn you 5 RP and you immediately start earning 2 RP per 20 minutes up to a max of 20 RP per day, which is roughly eight League of Legends ARAMs if, like me, that’s your preferred time measurement scale.

Right now, though -- and retroactively since we introduced Reward Points a few weeks ago -- we’re tripling the rate of RP you earn from tracking gameplay for a limited time. That means you can earn a max of 65 RP per day just from playing. Keep an eye on the AMD community and your favorite game communities for news about future double and triple RP play events!

New Ways of Earning RP
We’re adding lots of new ways you can earn points. Explore the community and figure out all the ways you can rack up more than 4,500 points in the first month alone! Here are just a few ways you can earn points to get started:
- Post quality content to communities
- Connect with other gamers
- Discover new community features

TLDR:
Yesterday they made a huge point "adjustments" ex.: 20k -> 4k ... basically they wiped 80-90% of the points, the community is flaming all over the place...
