Name: Tom (Morososo)
Age: 23
Location: United Kingdom

Previous Planetside experience: First picked up Planetside 2 sometime in 2012, but I wasn't very successful and got a bit fed up with not knowing where to go or how to stay alive. Picked PS2 up again about a week ago after watching some youtube videos of large scale battles that made me really want to get involved again. There's still a lot I don't understand about the game, but I really want to learn and become proficient. Plus I actually seem to be able to kill people this time around.

Outfit history (if applicable): I've never been in an outfit or clan for any online FPS game. I have been in many guilds in MMORPGs but I doubt that applies.

Other (online) games you have played / achievements: Battlefield 3, Hawken, Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, Red Orchestra 2, War Thunder

Do you have a mic? Yes/No: Yes

What you hope to bring to BRTD: A fresh lump of clay, really. I don't have much practise with vehicles in this game due to the respawn time restrictions, but I'm interested in becoming a skilled pilot someday (the flight mechanics in this game are unusual to me) I like to play supporting roles, like Engineer, manning turrets, handing out ammo etc. I'd like to operate in a liberator or galaxy crew, performing air-evac and cool stuff like that.

What made you choose this outfit over any other organized outfit? The emphasis on fun and good times. I don't like the idea of an outfit that can't joke around a bit, and your youtube video has shown me that you can. I also like the fact that you guys don't have a minimum Battlerank requirement like somewhat elitist outfits do.

How did you hear about Better Red Than Dead Google, but I had stumbled across the outfit name while watching PS2 vids on youtube.

What is your preferred play style: Infantry/Armour/Aircraft? Infantry at present, primarily because that's all I'm good at right now. I'd like to improve my abilities driving tanks and piloting aircraft, but I think I need someone to tell me what I'm doing wrong before I can progress.

Anything else you'd like to add: I know I don't have the most amazing history of FPS gaming under my belt, and I'm sure there are countless other applicants who could gun me down before I even realised there was an enemy in front of me, but I know I can improve on all that. I can always get better at this game, but what won't change is my attitude. I prefer to focus on teamwork and cooperation than l33t sk1llz and K/D ratios. I hope that BRTD is more interested in team players than ace players!

Your battle Rank: 12

Welcome to BRTD, Morososo

I would like to take the time to welcome you as a trial member of BRTD! You have been accepted on a 4-6 week trial basis which is a standard procedure for all new recruits. It is required that you download Mumble which we use for voice communication. You will be sent a private message on this website with mumble details as soon as your application is accepted, for information on installing mumble please go here: www.brtd.net/mumble

Please start using Mumble within the next week so the officers can register you and get you into the thick of BRTD operations. When you first log onto mumble you will not have the proper rights to move from the lobby, as such just hold tight there and someone will pop up and welcome you to the outfit and get you started. If you have any trouble please consult the FAQ section:: www.brtd.net/support or ask an officer who will be happy to assist you. If for any reason you cannot log onto mumble within a week of your application submission, just send which ever officer accepted your application a message on the BRTD website saying why so we don't remove you due to inactivity.

All relevant information of the many events we run in BRTD can be found here: www.brtd.net/community/outfit-events

Training nights are on Thursday and Sunday at 8pm GMT where we take you through tactics BRTD use and make sure you know the basics so you can enjoy the game as much as we do.

Along with training every Thursday and Sunday we run “Monday night Madness” which is always a good laugh! In this event we hold races, showdowns, and many more things to boot. A point to note, sometimes even station cash prizes are given!

Also just pop to this link and introduce your self to the rest of our members: www.brtd.net/forum/2-Public-Forum/7-hello-and-welcome

Our outfit plays on the EU Miller server; our squads are often open and listed (though ask on mumble for an invite if they are not). When you are set up on Mumble, please ask an officer for an outfit invite so you can join our squads in-game.

We request that all the outfit members like us on Facebook and/or twitter as this really helps with the community aspect and also keeps everyone up to date if there are any important news. Links to both of these pages can be found on the left hand side of the main website (www.brtd.net) or do the search option for Facebook. Name: BRTD or twitter: ps_brtd
we hope you enjoy your time with us!

Regards,
Sharpe
