While playing last night there was a comment made about consoles... which made me wonder who is planning on getting a Playstation 4 as I expect to be doing a fair bit of PS2 gaming on this format in the future ... and would like to see BRTD folks in my friends list to rev me when i cock up :)

As context ... my PC gaming rig is high end but next to our bedroom - hence I sometimes cant speak if wife is sleeping. Where as the PS4 will be in the living room and I wont have that problem... and I have a sneaky feeling the PS4 version of PS2 will be smmoooooth :) (Although ... not at launch ... sound familiar)

Master Race, nuff said =P

i might get a PS4 in a couple of years if there is a very good game i cannot play anywhere else
(like MGS4 made me buy the PS3 about 5 Years after release)
The fact that sony once again put way to little Memory in her console is a huge turnoff for me.
My PC is allready stronger than the PS4 will be and its only getting worse with time.

Agreed. I can't play on the gamepads worth a fuck one. Keyboard and mouse rules...

From what they said at the beginning of the announcement:
You would be able to use your PC character on the PS4 :)

With that given, I might buy it on PS4 just so I can play with some mates who don't have a beast of a PC but will get a PS4.
That and to kill them ofcourse!

Fps just isnt that great with controllers to me, proven by aim assist. Will be sticking with PC

I DON'T OWN AN XBO...I MEAN A PLAYSTATION!!

But seriously, my aim's even worse with a controller...though I bet flying will be pretty awesome...

I'm a hardcore PC gamer and I've never owned any console. I don't intend to change that as the PC is a superior gaming platform which I have full control over :)

Definately sticking with PC version.

I'd be surprised if the PS4 version is superior in any way to the PC version tbh.

Plus....aim assist & gamepads seems like dumbing down to me....I'm a mouse/keyboard kinda chap.

The biggest obstacle tho' is the PS4 and PC versions will be entirely separate....I intend to stay in BRTD ;p

I'm a PC guy... but I did enjoy a couple of years playing FPS games on Xbox 360 with mates from work.

The attraction is... the machine and games always work smoothly (no alt tab crashes :)) AND you can play in the living room which is a pleasant change.

The drawback is you have to learn to use a controller. The oddest thing is... you do get highly accurate with it. My son would play aim assist off and headshot regularly. Its weird how accurate your thumb movement get - If you stick at it (there is a pun there)

My expectation is that the PS4 version will look just as good on a £350 console (framerate etc) as it on my GTX 690 and I5 as they can fully tune for one platform. We will see....

Won't it be possible to plug in a mouse and keyboard ? That would be great...

I have to admit thathe biggest advantage of console is it is entirely dedicated to gaming (or at least much more than PC). Which means that uou can expect better quality and frame rate than pc over time...
If you want to keep high end PC, it almost needs to be upgraded every year...
