I'ts not odd, it's because you can actually talk in outfit-channel on your android.(iOS too)

It's rather annoying that the App (the iOS version at least) is 12 MB to download, but if you want to view the live maps, you need to download an additional 50MB per map!

This app is like an alpha version, very clunky, very slow to load and as Purestorm has said, the storage space this takes up is pretty large due to the amount of data in each map presumably.

I'm going to uninstall the app for now since I don't see much use to it and it is currently taking 91MB of space on my phone, with only one map downloaded.

There are alternetiv android app wich takes less space and has auto-update for the map-view.
