Member Name P00K1E

Do you agree to the Rules of Better Red Than Dead
Yes

What is your primary character name?
P00K1E

Country of Residence?
England

How did you hear about BRTD?
I've seen you guys on the planetside forums and reddit, as well as having briefly run with one of your public squads.

How many hours do you plan to play per week?
5-10

Why do you want to join BRTD
BRTD seems like the sort of outfit that gets shit done. But at the same time you seem like a fun loving bunch of guys. I've never wanted to join a 1337 farming outfit. Rather, a unit that plays the objective when it's called for but knows how to have fun when the time is right as well. From what I've seen, BRTD ticks these boxes.

What other gaming organisations (if any) have you been in?
Mountain Wolf Renegades (Mechwarrior Online), Star League Reborn (Mechwarrior Online)

BattleRank:
22

Planetside 2 Player URL:
https://www.planetside2.com/players/#!/8269444733672879393/

Anything else you'd like to add?
I'm a returning player to PS2. My previous character was a BR36 VS toon, but I've since deleted that one. Currently I have a VS at BR21 and NC at BR10 as well as my main TR character.

I do not consider myself a great player, but hopefully playing with BRTD will improve my skills.

Edit: I also play Elite: Dangerous, but due to my ironman playthroughs, I'm back in a Sidewinder. When it comes to that, I'll make the relevant post in the correct forums. Just a heads up.

As you're now a recruit through PS2, just hop on down to the Elite: Dangerous channel in mumble whenever you want to play - no need to make a separate post (though feel free to post in the Elite section of the forums) :)

Thanks guys. I'm setting up Mumble as I type. I'll use tomorrow to either superglue my headset back together or find out a way to use the Mic from that and the headphones I currently use together. Not at work until Thursday, so I'll likely be around at obscene hours of the morning until then. Just a heads up.

If I can't get my mic working, what do you guys think I should do? Obviously if I can afford it at the end of the month I'll buy a new one, but if not I'll be micless until the end of Nov...

Also as far as PS2 goes, I have a VS alt at BR22 and an NC at BR15 with 1800ish certs from Koltyr. If you guys run alt-outfits I'd rather wait and join those (pending my probationary period at BRTD) than join zergfits. I know I've killed a few "NotBRTD" NC characters before. What about VS?

Directly under the earth's sun.......now.
The mic is more for socializing mate, the main thing is being on mumble when your in squad so you can hear the squad leaders orders so you can coördinate when certain classes or routes to a point need to be taken. A mic isnt needed but its always better to talk to people instead of the whole typing. So dont worry about not being able to talk just hop on listen to meaningful and deep conversations we are having and get a mic when your able to afford it :).

While it is vital to be able to communicate, especially for more intense squad play, you are fine as long as you can hear us.

Also there are cheap mic's for 5$ out there who do the job

If you are in-game, then you are required to be logged into our voice comms (Mumble).
@P00K1E A mic is nice to have but not essential (We only require that you to be able to listen on our voice comms), we have a few members that don't use a mic, also some members can't use their mic at certain times of day (there kids are in bed, wife aggro and so on)
