How do they set these fight up? In the middle of the night on PTS?[/quote]
With planning / contacts and generally seeking out outfits - especially via streams then having the attitude / ethos / skillset to attract similar competition, I merc'd for INI during their DEIMOS game last saturday, was fun. They know they can garuntee 12 or 24 players and can roll a match within little time of notice. Although most PTS scrims are late night affairs with US outfits because there is little to no market on EU servers. Most EU outfits require a long lengthy period to garuntee numbers. Smaller more competitive outfits are more flexible / matches easier to fix, and literally less red-tape to organize.
I could get BRTD several scrims, even after haivng turned down suggestions / offers - but its hard with this outfit to garuntee exact numbers. For example the WASP/INI game - only 1-4 of the actual list ACTUALLY played and with people being brought in last second and being a casual outfit overal then its really hard to say "BRTD will have 24 people available on saturday" for example. Different timezones is also another bummer. I could also say nobody reading the forum is also another bummer, everyone is not in the loop.
All it takes is someone to bother their arse conversing with other outfits and asking them for a match - the hard thing is garunteeing your exact numbers. If there is numbers, the majority will only be there because they are needed - unless it was some fancy streamed FNO/CC or whatever match - i hardly see BRTD as MLG scrim-every-night outfit anyways.
