Hi Everyone, I am currently [FDS] Sergent PallaDiLardo from the italian outfit Fanteria dello spazio, I wanted to look at the possibility of moving in other outfit and I wanted to have a bit of time of playing with BRTD to see how is the feeling of playing with you before taking BRTD tag on my name.

I am considering to leave my outfit because often I lead my troops 95% of the time that I am online, but I am tired of the level of people unable to listen and comply simple requests like "we need a sunder to be deployed" even from some that had plenty of gameplay and not newbie losing the fun of trying to coordinate an attack and by the continuously bickering of some immature people in my current outfit on which after trying a while to resolve, they just don't sober up from this attitude.

I am looking for a fun, relaxed and supportive outfit environment where I am happy to start from scratch and just help as much as I can with my ability of analyse the situation on field and help winning the battle on the larger scheme.

Ingame Name: PallaDiLardo
Age: 34
Location: Barcelona

Previous Planetside experience:
Planteside 1 and Planetside 2 from the beta

Outfit history (if applicable):
FDS

Other (online) games you have played / achievements:
Tons tons tons of gaming online too long to list (plenty of FPS)

Do you have a mic? Yes/No:
Yes

What you hope to bring to BRTD:
Experienced veteran, Ability of leadership platoon, Tactical experience, multi language support in communication with Italian/Spanish outfit, willing of learning the BRTD ways of approach a battle.

What made you choose this outfit over any other organized outfit?
It was between you and BMC, I choosen you, because I want to be able to work with a big AND coordinated group that doesn't fear overwhelming and difficult odds in battle

How did you hear about Better Red Than Dead
You are well known.

While we appreciate the application, BRTD will need you to drop out of FDS before accepting your application as recruits are then invited to the outfit for their recruitment period. After 4-6 weeks, we go through our current recruits and either approve or deny them. Let us know if and when you drop out of FDS.

Thank you for your quick answer dnaRIP!

Going out of the FDS it is not a problem, regardless I wanted to have a look at your way of gameplay from the inside with other veterans, if it is possible and it doesn't make you uncomfortable before doing it, I have strong feelings of don't want end up in another outfit with the same or other problems, and one simple day of participating with you in mumble would help me to get the feeling on who you are as group.

I hope that is an acceptable request, I don't want either suck up your time in training me if I feel that you are too tight (like BMC) or too lose (like FDS) as organization.

Tonight I have an officer FDS meeting and I will inform to my friends and brother in arms why I want to leave the group and to clarify the situation. So for tomorrow I am out anyway.

Can I add you as a friend ingame? will you be the person that I will relate with the recruitment phase?

If I understand what you mean by too tight or too loose. You will find BRTD are mainly casual, unless there is an OP on. For a true BRTD insight, then it would have to be an OP. So a "day" on mumble would not give you enough time to see everyhthing. However we have many different leaders with many various ways of leadership and no set way of.doing things. Basically if you do play with us, do not take first impression as gospel. I would say we are not as serious as BMC, I.e straight lines but we are not loose either. We have variety, but good and bad days.

Have fun but get shit done is our motto.

Re:Re: Trial to play under BRTD flag from another veteran

Thx DotzOr for the quick reply.

Situation with my clan it is just bad and sad. You cannot even talk anymore in the forum of the command channel without even argue with people, or misunderstanding and just upset each other sigh, I really wish that it was different. I hate to have to leave my clan to go somewhere else, but it really draining me my "fun" time and it is becoming a "drag" time. I tried many time to make it work it, but it is just unbearable.

I am sincerely happy to have a casual game with OP that are very very serious.

I already love the motto! :D Give me one day sort it out everything.

If anyone would like to describe their own experience in BRTD I would love it to hear it. It will make me feel more comfortable. Like I said, I hate to leave my outfit for another, I feel to betray some of good friends that I had along the run.

Hi mate, I've been in BRTD since the beta and tbh I never wanted to play TR lol I wanted to play NC. However, a mate of mine wanted to play TR and join BRTD, over a year later I am a co-leader and I could not be happier. GREAT bunch of guys and indeed gals.

Like any outfit we have our arguments but these happen VERY seldom (no outfit is perfect), but I would describe us as more of a gaming family than an outfit or clan. We have some true characters.

We have multiple platoon leaders, squad leaders who lead most days and then officers and co-leaders who also lead but mainly handle the admin work such as recruit training and going through applications and such.

Some of these Platoon leaders tend to run a tight ship even when there is no op on, some like a relaxed atmosphere, so I think we cater for most players.

As an outfit we run events such as "Monday Night Madness" or "MNM" which takes part the first Monday of every month, we supply prizes and goodies to the winners. For example, before Christmas we gave away multiple PC games (assassins creed black flag for example) and ofc station cash cards.

If you were to join BRTD you will see a casual side and a serious side, but mainly you will make some very good friends, hope to see you in game.

PS: this is my youtube channel there is a MNM video which you mighty like to watch to see what I mean: http://www.youtube.com/user/SamNelux

On a side note, if any of your mates would like to come with you, you are all ofc welcome.

Thank you Sharpe, it is very encouraging what you say.

I just saw your vide Slingshot Maneuver, that's lovely suggestion I am gonna try it asap! Light assault it is my favourite class. That technique it remind me of the time on which I was playing Tribes!

I love to be the quick rush fighter anticipating the enemy, and I am used to fight beyond enemy lines. I will definitely be with your rush squad if you lead one :D

All the above being said, we trial our recruits and not the other way around. That may sound snotty, but we have been around for 10+ years and truly believe that we have the recruitment process refined to achieve our goals.

Please keep us in mind should you wish to submit an application.

Welcome to BRTD

I would like to take the time to welcome you as a trial member of BRTD! You have been accepted on a 4-6 week trial basis which is a standard procedure for all new recruits. It is required that you download Mumble which we use for voice communication. You will be sent a private message on this website with mumble details as soon as your application is accepted, for information on installing mumble please go here: http://www.brtd.net/mumble

Please start using Mumble within the next week so the officers can register you and get you into the thick of BRTD operations. When you first log onto mumble you will not have the proper rights to move from the lobby, as such just hold tight there and someone will pop up and welcome you to the outfit and get you started. If you have any trouble please consult the FAQ section: www.brtd.net/faq-guides or ask an officer who will be happy to assist you. If for any reason you cannot log onto mumble within a week of your application submission, just send which ever officer accepted your application a message on the BRTD website saying why so we don't remove you due to inactivity.

All relevant information of the many events we run in BRTD can be found here: http://www.brtd.net/community/outfit-events

Training nights are on Thursday and Sunday at 8pm GMT where we take you through tactics BRTD use and make sure you know the basics so you can enjoy the game as much as we do.

Along with training every Thursday and Sunday we run “Monday night Madness” which is always a good laugh! In this event we hold races, showdowns, and many more things to boot. A point to note, sometimes even station cash prizes are given!

After getting your application accepted make sure you pop over to this topic http://www.brtd.net/forum/Recruitment/1500-requesting-access-to-the-main-outfit-forums and ask for your forum rights thus allowing you to see are plethora of planetside information and guides!

Also just pop to this link and introduce your self to the rest of are members:  www.brtd.net/forum-s/2-Public-Forum/7-hello-and-welcome

Our outfit plays on the EU Miller server; our squads are often open and listed (though ask on mumble for an invite if they are not). When you are set up on Mumble, Please ask an officer for an outfit invite so you can join our squads in-game.

We request that all the outfit members like us on Facebook and/or twitter as this really helps with the community aspect and also keep up to date if there is any important news. Links to both of these pages can be found on the left hand side of the main website (www.brtd.net) or do the search option for Facebook. Name: BRTD or twitter: ps_brtd
we hope you enjoy your time with us!

Regards,
Sharpe
