woodman v miller

So, in case you are not a forum lurker like me or yami you might have missed the thread ulysees posted on the official forum about woodman challenging the Miller master race to duke it out on the fields and swamps of hossin to finaly prove which server is best. We still have to pick the faction we shall use to utterly dominate them. I can't link the thread and the reddit for now since i am typing on a tablet but i raise the question: will we answer the call to arms?

The way I'm reading this is that participating outfits all pick a faction so as to be unified as a server. That is to say that all of Woodman will be one faction, all of Miller will be another and all of Cobalt will be the last faction. An interesting idea, and as everyone on the test server gets 100000 certs now you can set up pretty much whatever you need.
I'm game, It sounds like fun.

I believe it is so, miller should be TR. And yes bish, that was the server where we wore spandex and massacred the nc.

We're going to play NC, you can already practise at the test server. 100K certs should be well enough to max out everything you like to play (Hacksaw Maxes ftw)..

I recommend that you make a character already and max out your resources, you're barely getting any resources at all on hossin so it might be a good idea to check the other conts for the one with the highest payout.

Went to have a look at Hossin. Only central area is available, feels pretty claustrophobic this way even without many players around. With so many people in this small area it's gonna be one huge meat-grinder. Also noticed that even though lattice isn't showed on the map, I couldn't capture some of the adjacent territories before capturing others. So lattice apparently is there, it just doesn't tell you what you can or can't capture on the map.

I've seen the 11th being mentioned on reddit, at 19:00 UTC.

also saw mention of a dry run on the 4th but i think that isn't happening now.

Would also suggest everyone gets patched up and on the server sooner rather than later. When rolling a new character you now have to do a tutorial which is a small time sink. And then spending 100k certs took me a good 20 mins last night. So a good idea to get on sooner, get your certs and loadouts sorted and start getting some resources.

Also looks like we are limited to 48 people max from BRTD?

"Force Size: Each Outfit will be limited to providing 1 platoon maximum for the event to try and ensure all outfits can take part"

We can rarely get a full platoon on live, let alone PTS.

according to the in-game roster, BRTD has had over 140 unique members log on in the last 24 hours. While i can't say how accurate that roster is for offline members i do think we probably get more than a platoons worth of members on in a 24 hour time period, they usually just don't all log on at the same time.

For an event like this, folk may make the effort to get to PTS for the event, who knows

I've got 110 different characters in the outfit so most of those logons is just me getting my daily certs

thought i'd drop this here. Apparently the thread listed on the miller subreddit as "official" isn't, it's just some guy who decided to jump in and start organising it even though someone else was already sorting it. It looks like this has led to the creation of 2 miller outfits on test MILL and MILR. Think we are supposed to be using the MILL one.
