Router Part 1: Small Router Base

Hi folks, here is a simple video on how to build a small router base. It is one of the most useful construction modules that you can create for your squad/outfit. It allows you to place a spawn point very near to the capture point and Anywhere on the map. The small router base doesn't require many certs to get into and only requires 5-10 minutes to set up a small base.

Cortium Calculator: Is a simple calculator that you can use to find out how much cortium is required for any base design, please use this calculator: https://brtd.net/con/

Strengths and weaknesses :

  • can be placed anywhere on the map.
  • It only requires a flat surface to place it.
  • The spawn range is limited to 300 metres
  • it very weak against bullets and explosives.
  • can not be repaired
It is best to build a small router base near the warp gate as there is usually 2-4 6000 cortium stack that spawns there regularly. I typically place it behind a rock or other terrains that hide the router and silo.

This base requires 10,400 cortium an hour to run.

You can use any class to put down a router, but I recommended you use a Stalker Cloaker as it increases survivability.

Recommended implants and equipment:
  1. Implant deep operative 5 (Much harder to see, when sitting still)
  2. Implant Catlike 5 (Crouch walk at 75% run speed and jump 20% higher)
  3. Suit module: adrenaline pump (increases sprint speed by 10%, costs 30 certs)
You don't need all of these implants it just a recommended setup.

Part 2: Medium Router base with an Air terminal and Spawn tube.

This base is much better at getting the router to where your squad/outfit need it as you don't have to pull aircraft from the warpgate you can directly spawn at your base from anywhere on the map. But at the cost of taking much more cortium to run.

Recommended setup:
  • Aircraft terminal
  • Router spire
  • Spawn tube.
  • Ai and Repair modules
  • Pillbox
  • AI, AV and AA Turrets

This base requires 14,400 cortium an hour to run at the minimum. Usually, 25-30k is enough to last an hour or so. This base is the recommended setup you can just use the aircraft terminal, router spire and spawn tube at the minimum.

Part 3: Advanced Router base with air terminal, spawn tube and pain

This base design can be used for routers, orbital strikes, flails and so on. The core as of the base is the sunderer garage as it forces infantry to inside where the pain field is and take a lot of damage from the pain field and AI turrets. It takes a long time for infantry to take this base out as the repair module keeps repairing everything in range. it also deters Cloaker with explosive crossbows from destroying all your modules

Recommended setup:
  • Pain Spire (it set the enemy on fire if they are within 15 metres.)
  • Air Terminal
  • Router spire
  • Spawn tube
  • Modules:
    • AI
    • Repair
    • Structure shield
    • Sky Wall
  • AI, AV and AA Turret
  • Sunderer Garage
This base requires around 21,600 cortium an hour to run. Usually, 40-50k is enough to last 1-2 hours.
