Name: David
Age: 33
Location: London
In-Game name: Jezzibella (ahem)
Previous Planetside experience: None, unless you count the 19 solid hours I played this weekend
Outfit history (if applicable): None
Other (online) games you have played / achievements: Far too many to mention, but relevant to PS2 - Battlefield 2 (led/officered in a clan, 32 players/team in organised ladders). Battlefield 3 as squaddie in a clan, Counter Strike & TFC, TF2. And far, FAR too much WoW (officer in guild, ran the PvP section). No more WoW though, I've been clean for years
Do you have a mic? yes/no: Yes.
What you hope to bring to BRTD: Banter and when it's needed, focus and effort to blow shit up.
For the officers, I can also bring to the table other, unique attributes - with a large frame and ginger hair, I'm a very effective distraction unit - send me in first and while they all track me, the rest of the team get on with business.
What made you choose this outfit over any other organized outfit: RL friend of Akyan/Yoshi2486.
What do you want from BRTD: The chance to play in an organised, coherent team. Having sampled it in numerous other games it strikes me as being essential in PS2. Though with only 19 hrs played to date I'm clearly still learning the ropes but I do learn quickly and it also means I'm happy to do/try anything as ordered. Mostly, I'd be joining for a better standard of gameplay and a laugh. Though when I play I aim to do it seriously and to contribute to winning, I'm not precious or so anal that I'll rage quit if ordered to do something I'm not keen on.
What is your prefered play style:
Armour > Aircraft > Infantry.
Though in terms of what I'm more SKILLED at....
Armour > Infantry > Aircraft
Right now I'm spending a lot of time in tanks, having upgraded the Lightning to have the AA turret and the Prowler to have the mega anti tank shells. Sitting a little back from the front line providing either AA cover or sniping enemy tanks seems to be working rather well. Running as engineer too means I am by turns self sufficient in terms of repair and can also help others as needed.
Infantry - usually infiltrator, I prefer sneakiness and defending. Mostly because the pickup squad experience has been fairly poor so I try to run in and solo small outposts then hold them against counterattack. Having said that it's immensely fun on big base defence perched in unusual places sniping light assault as they try to sneak in round the back. On the attack I chop and change as the circumstances require it.
Aircraft - upgraded the mozzy to have rockets and IR sights. With practice I'll be much better than I am now but as a solo flier it's often hard to avoid getting twatted out of the sky
Although as mentioned before, I have a reasonable base level of skill so will do whatever role in whatever class I'm asked to do.
Anything else you'd like to add: I'm pretty sure I can add to the banter and I follow orders. I'm also low maintenance and won't cause a fuss. Also as it's xmas party season coming soon I might be able to contribute incriminating photos of Akyan on the work night out
