Age: 33..I think. Lost count.
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne, England (but actually Swedish).
In-Game name: SnaffeTR
Previous Planetside experience:
- Outfit history (if applicable): Betaplaying, only. No outfits. I realised the only way to truly experience PS2 the best possible way is to join an outfit. So, I pledge my allegiance to shoot the scummers! :woohoo:
Other (online) games you have played / achievements: Used to QWTF and Q3F many years ago where I was also a co clan leader (I'm a manager at work so the less I have to manage while playing the better... :whistle: ). I've played multiplayer games for close to 20 years. (jesus!) . Most recent games are Bad Company 2 and Tribes Ascend.
Do you have a mic? yes to mic.
What you hope to bring to BRTD: I'm a grunt following orders, any orders, if it involves shooting aliens and rebels. For the republic! I shall run across deserts for you!
What is your proffered play style: Dying as infantry. I crash air craft, and quite often ground vehicles.
Anything else you'd like to add: Better red than dead! Bought a new rig for 700 quid so I am proper motivated to get the best out of the game through joining an outfit.

Hello Snaffe!

We'd be happy to add you to the outfit on a trial basis.

You will need to download Mumble (our version of Ventrilo/TS) and use the "Mumble Login" link at the top of the website or alternatively use the server details listed here: www.brtd.net/community/2-Public-Forum/14...-server?limitstart=0

All new outfit recruits are expected to start using mumble within their first week (It's necessary for coordination purposes even if you don't plan on using a mic right away). If you have any trouble setting this up or any questions generally please consult the FAQ section: www.brtd.net/faq-guides or ask an officer who will be happy to assist you (you will need an officer to authenticate you on the mumble server when you first log in).

The outfit plays on the EU1 server; our squads are always open and listed. The outfit feature in game is currently bugged so until it is fixed we will not be using it and will be relying purely on mumble and ingame squads.

We are currently developing our combined arms approach so there is the potential to branch out into more air or ground vehicle related roles should you ever wish to, however skilled infantry will always form the cornerstone of our outfit.
