Hi,

Name: Peter

Age: 42

Location: Rotterdam, the Netherlands

In-Game name: Stinkbeard

Previous Planetside experience: Played PS1 from beta till about 2010, PS2 beta

Outfit history (if applicable): None worth mentioning (I was an NC in a previous life /facepalm).

Other (online) games you have played / achievements: Just about everything out there that deserves an MMO tag, and a few that don't.

Do you have a mic? yes/no: Yes but I play mostly on my laptop, later in the evening while my wife is sleeping next to me so I don't do much talking.

What you hope to bring to BRTD: I am a pretty decent engineer and sundy driver so I'll mostly bring support, ammo, repairs, sandwiches and hot beverages while you guys do the real fighting although I am known to take out an enemy sundy or tank or two in between. Other than that I do a fantastic impression of cannonfodder.

What made you choose this outfit over any other organized outfit: Read some forum posts about BRTD that all seemed really positive, also seems like you have found a nice balance between casual and hardcore play which does require good teamwork and leadership but without overdoing it.

What do you want from BRTD: Fun, teamplay, strategy and waypoints!

What is your prefered play style: Infantry/Armour/Aircraft: mostly play an at mine engineer setup, sometimes aa max, I drive both support and offensive sunderers, aircraft scare me so I don't except as a passenger

Anything else you'd like to add: Did I mention I really suck at flying?

That's all, hope to hear from you soon.

Hi peter

I'd like to take the time to welcome you as a trial member of BRTD! You have been accepted on a 2 week trial basis which is a standard procedure for all new recruits. It is required that you download Mumble (our preference over Teamspeak) and use the "Mumble Login" link at the top of the webskly or alternatively use the server details listed here: www.brtd.net/mumble

Please start using Mumble within the next week so that our Officers can set your permissions properly. If you have any trouble please consult the FAQ section: www.brtd.net/faq-guides or ask an officer who will be happy to assist you (you will need an officer to authenticate you on the mumble server when you first log in).

You may also find useful outfit related information in the combined information thread: www.brtd.net/forum-s/2-Public-Forum/1355...d-information-thread

If you will, please introduce yourself to the rest of the outfit by making a post here: www.brtd.net/forum-s/2-Public-Forum/7-hello-and-welcome

Check out our Training & Tactical Guides/Suggestions forum to get the low-down on how BRTD operates in-game: www.brtd.net/forum/training-tactics-guides-suggestions

Our outfit plays on the EU Miller server; our squads are often open and listed (though ask on mumble for an invite if they are not). When you are set up on Mumble, please ask an officer for an outfit invite so you can join our squads in-game.

BRTD are currently developing our combined arms approach so there is the potential to branch out into more air or ground vehicle related roles should you want to, but as it stands infantry still form the majority of the skill base in our outfit.

We request that all the outfit members like us on facebook and/or twitter as this really helps with the community aspect. Links to both of these pages can be found on the left hand side of the main website (www.brtd.net).

We hope you enjoy your time with us!

Regards,

Dotz0r

Welcome to BRTD! We will be adding you to the outfit on a 2 week trial basis (standard procedure for new recruits). Please download mumble (our version of Teamspeak) and use the "Mumble Login" link at the top of the website or alternatively use the server details listed here: http://www.brtd.net/mumble

Please try to start using mumble within the next week or so (it's very important for coordination). If you have any trouble please consult the FAQ section: www.brtd.net/faq-guides or ask an officer who will be happy to assist you (you will need an officer to authenticate you on the mumble server when you first log in).

The outfit training officers have a thread set up, so if you require training in any particular gameplay aspect drop them a message at http://www.brtd.net/forum-s/training-tactics-guides-suggestions/1476-new-members-training#2303

The outfit plays on the Miller server; our squads are often open and listed (though ask on mumble for an invite if they are not). The outfit feature in game is currently bugged so until it is fixed we will not be using it and will be relying purely on mumble and ingame squads.

We are currently developing our combined arms approach so there is the potential to branch out into more air or ground vehicle related roles should you want to, but as it stands infantry still form the majority of the skill base in our outfit.
