Name: Sympathy aka Iain Lawrence

Age: 37

Location: Harlow / Essex Uk

In-Game name: Sympathy

Previous Planetside experience: Played PS1 when it first came out. Loved it just didnt have the PC or broadband to get the most out of it. Been playing PS2 beta for a few weeks but only now getting reasonable FPS.

Outfit history (if applicable): None for outfit - many other games though, last clan / etc was DNS Corp (Eve online - Covert Ops)

Other (online) games you have played / achievements: Mainly play PvP MMO games have been doing so for over 20 years.

Do you have a mic? yes/no: Yes

What you hope to bring to BRTD: I am a very social team player. I do not have twitchy leet skills but I am very sound tactically. I am the most likely to switch class to fill a hole or to assist the group.

What made you choose this outfit over any other organized outfit: I have been looking for a while and holding off till i have an ok frame rate to be remotely effective. I was only ever going to play TR. I loved the name BRTD. So I watch all your videos when I can. It was the light assault training video of Sankaku that really made me realise that I wanted to join. Newbie friendly, training and great fun all at the same time. I couldnt ask for more.

What do you want from BRTD: Simply some organised / social outfit gameplay. The training and developement is a big bonus.

What is your prefered play style: Infantry/Armour/Aircraft: Infantry, I really want to focus upon infiltrator recon. I dont want to snipe, I want to focus on locating and detecting the enemy and providing targets. I also love being a gunner / support as medic / engineer

Anything else you'd like to add: I have 2 kids and one on the way due in early December. I also so work on call and do some funny hours. I tend to play a fair bit but at some strange times. I am also a fencing coach.

Hello there Sympathy,

I'm glad to inform you that you've been added to the outfit on a 2 week trial basis (standard procedure for all new recruits). Please take the time to download Mumble (our preference over Teamspeak) and use the "Mumble Login" link at the top of the website or alternatively use the server details listed here: www.brtd.net/mumble

Please attempt to start using Mumble within the next week (it's very important for coordination). If you have any trouble please consult the FAQ section: www.brtd.net/faq-guides or ask an officer who will be happy to assist you (you will need an officer to authenticate you on the mumble server when you first log in).

You may also find useful outfit related information in the combined information thread: www.brtd.net/forum-s/2-Public-Forum/1355...ormation-thread#1652

If you will, please introduce yourself to the rest of the outfit by making a post here: www.brtd.net/forum-s/search?q=hello%20an...only=1&childforums=1

The outfit training officers have a thread set up, so if you require training in any particular gameplay aspect drop them a message at www.brtd.net/forum-s/training-tactics-gu...embers-training#2303

Our outfit plays on the Eurydome server; our squads are often open and listed (though ask on mumble for an invite if they are not). The outfit feature in game is currently bugged so until it is fixed we will not be using it and will be relying purely on mumble and ingame squads.

BRTD are currently developing our combined arms approach so there is the potential to branch out into more air or ground vehicle related roles should you want to, but as it stands infantry still form the majority of the skill base in our outfit.

We request that all the outfit members like us on facebook and/or twitter as this really helps with the community aspect. Links to both of these pages can be found on the left hand side of the main website (www.brtd.net).

We all look forward to seeing you on the battlefield!

Kind Regards,
Jamriko
