Name: Jesse
Age: 20, turning 21 come early March.
Location: The Netherlands
In-Game name: TeaNCookies
Previous Planetside experience: None, though I've played about 13 hours of the game. I wish I could've played more, but I had severe performance issues. With the acquisition of more RAM and a better CPU, I can now run the game at a stable FPS that is smooth and nice.
Outfit history (if applicable): None.
Other (online) games you have played / achievements: Well, my gaming days go back a long way. I'll list the highlights:
I played World of Warcraft for 8 years now, but I've not been seriously playing since I think... 2008? I kind of played but I stopped raiding on a hardcore level. I used to be part of several guilds that were among the top. High Council on Twilight's Hammer being the one I stayed in the longest. World of Warcraft is the game that got me into hardcore gaming.
In 2010 I picked up MMORPGs again and played in a top rated European guild in Rift. After a year I lost interest for MMORPGs all together. I still play World of Warcraft a bit, mostly to socialize with long time friends and to do some role play - which I like to indulge in from time to time.
I got into MOBA style games with League of Legends and was a S1 gold ranked player and a S2 platinum ranked player. I left League these days in favor for Dota 2, which is a game I enjoy far more. I'm currently playing that a lot with friends and practising heavily to perhaps pursue more serious gaming there.
I've also played Quake III Arena on a near professional level which might be more interesting to you. Even though that game plays nothing like this one.
I also like to indulge into StarCraft 2. Currently I am waiting for Heart of the Swarm to start playing that more serious and start laddering.
Do you have a mic? Of course.
What you hope to bring to BRTD: Serious, dedicated gamer with a friendly, open attitude. I am a good listener, I can follow orders well so long as they are clear. I am a person that very much needs confirmation of things, or I grow uncertain about what I am doing. I am good at acting on my own behalf, when needed.
I've a MSc in Computer Science, I would be willing to extend my programming skills to the outfit where that would be helpful. I am extremely proficient in C, PHP and Java. I hate C++, but since it's an important language in Game Development, one could say that I am very proficient in that too.
Also I bring some serious heretic and rebel ass kicking skills.
What made you choose this outfit over any other organized outfit: The name appeals to me. Your forum post was also very well constructed and very clear.
What do you want from BRTD: To smite my infidel friends that joined the heretics and the rebels. I chose the one true faction, the Terran Republic. I do not forsake my duty unlike my friends, who all joined the inferior sides. Together with BRTD I hope to show them the mistake they have made.
What is your prefered play style: Infantry, I like getting up close. I tried flying an air machine once, it did not end well.
Anything else you'd like to add: For the Terran Republic!
