I just upgraded my pc and had to reinstall windows. When I tried to get in the mumble chat, it kept saying: "Server connection rejected: Wrong password for user." I tried all kinds of passwords but none seemed to work.

Can anybody help me?

You may need a new certificate issued by Mumble. If you still have our old PC try checking your C:\\users\###\Documents you can put it on USB stick and try putting it in the same place on your new pc.

I'm still using the same hard disk. I found mumble in C:/windows.old.000/Program Files (x86)/Mumble and I found my old certificate. I tried logging in there, but it didn't work. Neither did copying that folder to the new Program Files (x86).

simple fix

just add a number to the end of your name, ie AmarMusic1234. once on the server a server admin can rename you

all username on mumble have to be unique as it linked with a certificate.

once sorted just use the backup/export wizard on mumble to back it up . to desktop, then save it to dropbox or email and so on.

Link to troubleshooting guide , which needs cleaning up , updates keep breaking my code :(
