Finished a new landing notice on the home page of the site. The background image is a placeholder. open to suggestions on this and would like a custom image done for this :)

  • - Profile Linking
Links to a user's profile. This is generally inserted automatically when tagging a user.

    Example:
    StriKe_jk
    Output:
    @StriKe_jk

I see what you did there jugg  Haha I like it! :D

  • email campaign (looking at mailchimp and mandrill)

Trying out Mandrill as a email service. this connects to Mailchimp which will allow us to do email campaigns and so on.

Fixed the RSVP on the events, outfit member can now use it

What is difference between new post and recent post? i.e. I made a new post and its in "recent" tab at top but not in "new" tab.

EDIT: Ok when someone replied in my post it appeard in "new" tab dunno if it should work like this.

recent posts are the last posts based on a time frame.
New posts are just all new posts.

With new posts you can check all posts you didn't read yet, but they will vanish from the list if you read them.

With recent posts you just see a list of the last posts based on the time it got posted

@Thunderstrike no worries mate, it excludes the person who wrote the post from new posts, this makes its easier on the users and the reduces the load on the database by a small amount.

Ram usage since we moved to the Forum software

a lot of work has gone into this forum software to make it easier on user and yet give great server performance as well.
They were the main developers of Vbulletin till they were brought out about 4 years ago, so they left vbulletin and built new forum software Xenforo from the ground up to have the best of breed features from a lot website CMS's and forums software.

As a professional troll I must declare that I take offense to that, Jugg. My jimmies have been ruffled to such an extent that I shall now venture back to my bridge and start writing on a stern letter.
Good day sir!

Ok, I need to have all of the posts on the forum marked as read because every subforum shows as new since the new site went live. How do I mark as read all forum posts?
