Outfit Ranks

Greetings

Outfit ranks are confusing. Staff Sargeant (in US pay grade E5 or E6, depending on service) being superior to Lieutenant (O2). More importantly former is a non-com, later an officer.

One suggestion would be following a more standardized/established structure....NATO/US/UK pay grade. Following the current 3-tier/8 level command structure would produce something like this.

Outfit Command

- General (O10) = Outfit Leader
- Brigadier General (O7) = Co-Leader
- Colonel (O6) = Commander

Officer

- Major (O4) = Staff Sergeant

Members

- Lieutenant (O2) = BRTD Veteran
- Sergeant (E5) = Lieutenant
- Corporal (E4) = Soldier

Recruits/Probation

- Private (E1) = On trial

Knowing everyones comparative ranking at a glance can only have positive benefits.

Great suggestion .

i will bring it up tonight, the outfit is changing atm, we are trying to improve the organisation and condition of the outfit atm in preparation for Planetside 2. we are open for suggestion.

The roles can be added to the forums and outfit ranking easily, just need the time .

Cool

If adding ranks is easy enough consider a single Warrant Officer (W1-W4) class for unique member situations (dedicated alt, nostalgia, hasn't logged in for years yet don't wanna kick). It's outside the classical chain of command (superior to Enlisted, subordinate to Officers, always badass); denotes technical expertise.
