As stated in the rulebook of BRTD, §14, subsection II:

"Any member who leaves the warmth, loveable and truth bringing order of BRTD, for another Terran Republic outfit, should be reminded of their fall from heart every time, said ex-member is encountered by another current BRTD member.
This should be done by a single shot placed in the upper half of the calcaneus bone. No matter if said ex-member is encounter during transport, combat or celebration of victory, by mandatory waste of flare ammunition.
This is in order to constantly remind the ex-member of the pain he or she inflicted on the outfit when the ex-member turned their back on the outfit.
The execution of this rule goes from the time the ex-member leaves BRTD and lasts until; either the ex-member is killed in action without any means of restoring his body through the means of nanite technology, or the member returns to BRTD as member once again."
